Hull and Deck

Hanse builds its own molds with the help of advanced technology that makes everything perfect on the millimeter when.

The first step in production is then to laminate the hull and tire in the molds. First comes the gelcoat of quality isophatalic. Then a layer of vinyl ester epoxy. These first two layers protect the hull against osmosis. Then polyester is used by the quality ortophtalic or DCPD together with fiberglass.

Above the waterline, it is a sandwich construction for increased shape strength and insulation.

The hull has an internal system of sturdy beams provides an extra strong keel attachment and large steel plates that the keel bolts are clamped against. The shoots are also laminated to the hull.

Hanses rudders are large and long and positioned behind the propeller for maximum rudder effect.

All of Hanse’s boats are very strong and solid and therefore well adapted for harsh weather conditions. The boats are CE-marked in class A or B.

Hanse ́s quality controls

There’s a lot in your boat that you don’t normally see or even think of.
Examples are tanks, pipes, wiring and its assembly that is hidden behind the bulkheads and in compartments and under grating.
PLUMBING and electrical installation is exemplary. All water pipes are made of aluplexrör with pressed connections. Electrical installation is based on an exemplary control panel and all wires are nicely laid and well connected to the terminals of high quality. Everything is visible when you look behind the interior.

During production regular checks are carried out on Hanse’s own inspectors. All boats are launched outside the yard to ensure there are no hidden leaks. When the boat is ready, one of us, Bohus Yachts, will be hired surveyor. Any errors found are corrected before the boat is handed out for bottom painting, launching and rigging.

It may be useful to know that all new boats are tested during heavy sailing before they are made ready for series production.

Final control

When the boat is in the water and is rigged and ready, the final inspection will follow the shipyard’s control lists. Everything is checked again and especially those that could not be done before. Water and diesel tanks are filled for leakage control. All systems are tested and the engine test runs at low speed and with full throttle. Rigging, sails and mantrains are inspected before the boat will be handed over to you as a customer.

This final inspection is done by our representative on the spot, who then goes through the boat with you before the surrender.

It is good if you are in the final control because then you get to learn mkt extra about your new dream!
